Weekends on the beach
During the coming weekend, we will be making the last trip for this season (kitesurfing season that is..) to Aseelah on the coast of Oman. With more than 1700km of coastline Oman has all kinds of beaches going from the remote and wild ones to the standard white sandy beach.

Ramadan Kareem
Since I have been living in a Muslim country for more than 7 years I have become accustomed to the Islamic traditions. Today marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, a month during which Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. So for all the Muslim readers of this blog, Ramadan Kareem (loosely translated into Happy Ramadan).
This is one of the most interesting mosques I have visited and it’s located at the entrance in the capital of Oman, Muscat. It is one of the biggest mosques in the world being able to accommodate over 20000 worshippers.

I took this photo in Knysna on our last evening in South Africa and it was a fitting end for a wonderful trip.
