Prague from above

January 9th, 2011

This is a view of the Old Town Square in Prague from the height of the Old Town Hall Tower. It’s one of the most visited sites in Prague and at any given time there are hundreds of tourists at the base of the tower waiting for the famous astronomical clock to ring in the new hour.

The tower was built in 1338 and later in the same century was joined with an adjoining house. The entire complex became known as the Old Town Hall. Today it is being used for wedding ceremonies and for hosting art galleries and exhibitions.

Your photos are amazing! I love that you show the “out-of-camera” shot and the processed photo.

I taking photography classes now and want to enroll in a photoshop class.

    I have 2 options,
    -Intro to Lightroom or
    - Intro to Photoshop.

Which would you recommend if I want to be able to touch up my photos the way you do?

    thanks!!

Wendy, thank you! Depending where you want to head with your photography I would choose Photoshop if you just want to try your hand at individual photos or Lightroom if you do shoots with a large number of images that need to be processed fast.

At the end of the day, the engines behind Photoshop and Lightroom are almost the same so if you learn one you will know quite a bit about the other too.

    I hope this helps.
