If you’ve been watching the latest season of the Star Wars series Andor, you would have noticed the gorgeous Imperial senate building complex featured heavily in many episodes. As it happens, I spent a couple of hours last summer photographing the exteriors of these buildings in Valencia, Spain.
The section above is the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia which is one part of the entire complex and hosts and opera house. It was designed by Santiago Calatrava and was completed in 2005. I thought the way they added the rest of the backgrounds in Andor was just brilliant and really made the entire set feel real, yet futuristic.
