As time has gone by from our last summer’s trip driving from Dubai to Portugal and back, small moments are starting to come back to me – nice places I might have forgotten or just some nice lunch breaks.
The photograph above is one of those moments – it was on my last day driving North through Iraq before crossing Turkey and I noticed a large artificial lake on the Tigris formed behind the Mosul dam. I took the detour and found a great viewing point when I spent about an hour having some lunch and enjoying a quiet moment.
