It has been a while since I blogged something and since this is my first post of 2025, I wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year! I hope it’s a peaceful one filled with love.
As for the image above, Pisa has always been one of those places that I kind of wanted to see it, but at the same time, I had this feeling that I will be very disappointed because of how touristic is. Well, I am happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the hoards of tourists are there (particularly in the middle of the summer when we drove through), but it’s also super interesting and still a bit unexpected when you see it in real life. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much time as we got there fairly late and we were looking for a camping spot for that evening, but overall, I think I would actually go back.
I have a more classic image of just the tower, but for me this vantage point was more interesting as it really shows how dramatic the leaning is, particularly when you shoot it with a tilt-shift lens keeping all the lines straight.
