As I’ve mentioned before, when I was shooting for a client in South Africa in July, I managed to take a few days for myself exploring a few of the areas around Cape Town and photographing this beautiful region.
I was very lucky with the weather while I was there, except for one day when I drove the famous Chapmans Peak. It was a beautiful morning when I started in Hout Bay, but as the road climbed higher and higher rain started falling and by the time I got to the other side it all turned into a heavy downpour. As it was getting close to lunchtime, I noticed a resort just below and figured they must have a restaurant with a nice view. I was right as the view from their terrace was spectacular and I almost ended up staying there for the night. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to loose one day there, but next time I’m in South Africa I’ll definitely try to spend a couple of days in those parts.
