Restaurant and bar photography is so much more than just photographing food, particularly in a place like Dubai where the interior design of restaurants plays such a critical part in attracting the right clientele. Showcasing the best of what a restaurant has to offer requires a lot of planning and scouting the place ahead of time is essential in order to see how the space looks during different times of the day.It can all be very challenging to photograph, but when done right (both in terms of composition and lighting) the images are very rewarding.
Below is a large variety of restaurant photography I have done in the past fifteen years in Dubai and around the region. For a more detailed dive into particular projects, you can visit the assignments section where two of my favourite restaurant projects I have photographed are the gorgeous Intersect by Lexus in DIFC designed by Wonderwall Japan and the Akira Back, part of the W Hotel The Palm.
