A full rainbow
If you’re following me on Instagram, you would have seen that I’ve had quite the adventure on Mt.Aragats with quite a bit of snow falling above 3000 meters while I was there. I was lucky to see the mountain being covered with the first snow of the year, which made for one of my favourite photographs of the trip so far. But more on that in a future post.
For now, I’ll post another image I’m quite happy with, which was taken about 30 minutes before it started snowing. I was slowing making my way up the mountain through the winding roads and the rain was being very on and off, which I guess gave a bit of space to this beautiful rainbow to form. I pulled up the car at a spot where I could see the entire arch and took a couple of photograph to put them together as a panorama. For a very brief time before I stopped the car there was even a second rainbow visible just above this one, but unfortunately it disappeared before I had a change to press the shutter.
Unfortunately, panoramas are always a bit underwhelming when posted on a website as they are just too small, but I can’t wait to print this one!
