As you can imagine, I’ve got lots of images to blog from my recent trip to Hokkaido in the North of Japan and I’m also trying to put everything together to create a meaningful series from there which I can hopefully display in some sort of way in a gallery or a small photobook. But more on that later.
The image above was taken during one of the really heavy snow days in Hokkaido and it took quite a bit of a walking effort to actually get to where I wanted in the middle of these trees. There are a couple of images of me pretty much buried to my waist in snow while I was shooting this. I also tried something a little bit different than usual with this one. I tilted my 24mm tilt-shift lens vertically to try and get the top of the trees blur out into the falling snow. I’m quite happy with the final result, but as always, it’s good to hear what you think.
