This is yet another image from my shoot in Abu Dhabi last week. As I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I was there shooting for a client, which got me some great access to the top of Al Ain Tower with amazing 360 degree views of Abu Dhabi. It’s a really shame that the blue hour in this part of the world lasts for only about 10 actual minutes and although I was rushing to capture every part of Abu Dhabi, I didn’t have time to take as many photos as I wanted.
I did manage to capture the one below though, an image looking at most of Abu Dhabi’s cornishe and the new high-rise buildings that are now lining up the seafront. In the next couple of days I will also post an image taken in the opposite direction (for those of you familiar with Abu Dhabi, it’s looking towards the Emirates Palace).
Post-processing wise, I tried something new with this one, using Color Efex Pro 4 to tone the image, applying a graduated filter to introduce some of the purple at the bottom of the image.
