My recent trip to Greenland was a very short one with only three days spent there (initially it was supposed to be four, but bad weather made it shorter) so I was based only in Ammassalik, a small village on the South-Eastern coast of Greenland.
Ammassalik is a great place to base yourself and explore the region either by hiking or doing boat trips to the many fjords and glaciers in the region and the hotel I stayed in had a perfect view over the entire village. At times it really looked like you were part of some fairy tale with the icebergs in the distance slowly moving about and the colourful houses looking like miniature abodes for elves and fairies. I even did a short timelapse from the same spot and when I get a chance to put it all together I’ll share it with you.
On another note, I’m off to Zanzibar for a few days so blogging will be slow (if at all) for the next few days. If you’re on Instagram, you can keep up with some of my travels here.
