After about a week spent in Ukraine and two nights on the ferry crossing from Odessa to Batumi, I am now back in Georgia, essentially completing my loop around the Black Sea (or at least around all the areas I could get in with my car).
What better way to celebrate my return to Georgia, than to post a new photograph from this beautiful country. This particular shot was taken as we left Tbilisi at the end of July on our way to the Kazbegi area. The monastery you’re looking at is the Ananuri Monastary and its location is one of the most spectacular I’ve seen. It’s right above a huge water reservoir so the views are spectacular. I’ve got a few more days again in Georgia while waiting for my Iranian visa so I’m hoping to photograph some of the other areas I didn’t get to the first time around.
