As you might have seen if you’ve been following my Instagram feed, over the last couple of weeks I have been very busy shooting for Kempinski Ajman, without much time for blogging or anything else. The last couple of days in particular were tough, with the setup starting before sunrise and finishing way past sunset. But the images look great and the client is happy so all is good.
The weather here in Dubai is rapidly warming up, which made me think that one more image from Antarctica will be a good inspiration for dreaming of cooler places. This particular image was taken towards the end of my trip in Antarctica as we were heading towards Deception Island. It was taken around 11pm and as you can see the sun was creating these beautiful areas of light and shadow on the mountainous landscape.
Along with this image, this is probably one of my favourite I took in Antarctica. Don’t forget, if you want to see all the images I posted so far from the bottom of the world you can go here.
On another note, if you are interested in learning more about blue hour and night photography and joining me on a late afternoon / evening shoot in Dubai, I am running a workshop with Gulf Photo Plus on April 5th and I believe there are still a couple of places available. More details here.
