Antonov 124 #1
I don’t usually post many images from my commercial shoots here on the blog as I try to keep it more focused on travel, but this one I couldn’t miss.
I had the opportunity to photograph for a client some huge generators being loaded into a massive Antonov 124 Russian made airplane and while waiting for these generators to arrive I had pretty much free access around (and inside) the plane. It’s hard to describe how big this thing is and the only way to do that is to include a person in the shot to give you a sense of scale. If you look at the original shot (by rolling over with your mouse) you will notice there were actually two men in the original image, but I felt the composition was stronger with just one. I couldn’t get the other guy to move out of my frame so I had to resort to a bit of Photoshop.
