If you’ve been following my trip to Romania on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed I have been totally fascinated by the beautiful autumn colours I have come across.
Today and tomorrow I am taking a fairly short road trip crossing from the south of Romania to Transylvania and then coming back down towards Bucharest. The road I took today, called Transfagarasan and is arguably the most famous road in Romania.
Just before the road starts to climb towards the 2000m mark, it passes Vidraru Dam, a huge 166m structure with a massive artificial lake behind it. The area is stunning as all the trees are slowly turning orange during this time of the year and I managed to make a few photographs I am happy with.
