About a week ago I ran my usual blue hour and night photography workshop for GPP and we’ve had a great time looking for interesting angles around Business Bay, where Burj Khalifa seems to be in every picture. It was a great bunch of students with lots of interesting questions.
One thing that always seems to come up during these workshops is the issue of allowing some breathing space around the subject of your photos. It’s always a good idea to leave a little bit more space around the main subject because this way, the images tend to be a bit more, for a lack of a better description, “airy”. It also allows you to crop in if you need to which can come in handy sometimes.
If you’re interested, there’s another instance of this workshop already scheduled for the 21st of February and you can sign up here.
