While in Spain last year, we visited one of the most famous Spanish sites, the Alhambra. Alhambra is a complex of forts and palaces that served as the court of the Muslim rulers of Granada throughout the years. Qa’lat al-Hamra means Red castle and it has this name because of its reddish walls. The photo below is taken inside one of the chambers of the Alhambra and shows how detailed the decorations are even on the ceiling.
