Bedouin in Wadi Rum
A few weeks ago I spent a few days in Jordan and one of the highlights of the trip was a day and night spent among the impressive rock formations of Wadi Rum.
It was a really hazy day unfortunately so photography wasn’t exactly as good as I wanted it to be, but I did manage to get a couple of photographs I was happy with. Probably my favourite is the image above, which you might have seen already a couple of weeks ago when I tweeted about it as it was one of the editor’s pick for the National Geographic Traveler Contest. Unfortunately, I didn’t win any prizes in the end, but if you have a few moments have a look at the winning images as there are some great shots there.
If you noticed, initially I submitted the image in colour, but now when I was preparing it for the blog, I decided that it works better in black and white. As always I would love to hear what you think.
