I know the title might be a bit misleading and you’ll have trouble focusing on the chair, but frankly I couldn’t come up with a better name.
In my ongoing effort to experiment with my lights, I had yet another model shoot and I’m very happy with the results. The shoot was done on the Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and I was lucky enough to have a very nice sunset as a backdrop and a very patient model (her name is Ionela) that didn’t get bored with me setting up different lights over and over. We even found this old, broken chair on the beach that made for an interesting prop.
For those technicaly inclined, the shot was lit up with 2 strobes. One SB-900 was at camera right, slightly higher than Ionela, gelled with 1/4 CTO gel to get the skin looking nice and warm. The other strobe (an SB-800) was at camera left and behind the model to throw some highlights in her hair. The SB-800 didn’t actually survive this shoot as it was kicked down into the sea by the wind and is now beyond repair. 🙂
