Yesterday I had the pleasure of going on a 3 hour photoshoot with David from Chromasia, who is in town for next week’s Gulf Photo Plus. Although the Dubai sky was its usual sandy grey lacking any kind of interesting contrasts or clouds, the whole experience was very enjoyable and gave me a few ideas for places to shoot on a clear day. It also made me think about buying one of these tripods.
As for this shot, it’s probably the only half-decent one from yesterday and features the world tallest building, Burj Dubai. It’s a vertorama (yes, there is such a word!) which pretty much means a vertical panorama made out of 2 separate shots put on top of each other. This technique helps when you’re trying to take photos of an 800m tall building.
