Downtown Nairobi
As I’ve mentioned in my last post, yesterday I flew to Nairobi, Kenya for a shoot. You’re probably thinking Kenya, Africa, animals, safaris, but my shoot couldn’t be further from that. I am actually shooting some office spaces for a multi-national client and the shoot will also take me to South Africa, Saudi Arabia and of course UAE. I will share more on this once the images are delivered.
The day started well and after finishing up with the first location I was waiting for my local contact to meet me at the car when the security guard shows up and tells me my contact tripped and fell down the stairs and had to me taken to the hospital. Thankfully, she is fine, but this meant that most of the day was thrown off-course. This, coupled with the fact that the permission for the second location of the day was messed up it means that tomorrow will be a very busy day.
So this evening I took a bit of time before sunset to head to the helipad of the Kenyatta International Conference Centre (locally known as the KICC) which is the highest observation deck in Nairobi. I was lucky to catch a beautiful sunset and a really friendly security guard was kind enough to let me stay 30 minutes over the official closing time. I just love it when security guards are actually reasonable.
