Dried up
I have been debating with myself if I should post this shot or not as I’m not quite happy with the way the sky turned out. For some reason I got some banding going across at the top. Wish I knew why… On the other hand, I’m really pleased with the way the rest of the photograph looks, particularly the trees and the reflection.
As for the place, this is Cismigiu Park, quite a famous Romanian park, located right in the center of Bucharest. It’s a great place to wonder around when the weather is nice and when I took this photo the sun was shining and the temperature was mild. In the summer this fountain is in the middle of a lake, but I guess because of the winter the lake was emptied for maintenance.
For those of you interested in the technical details, this is an HDR made out of 7 exposures with a 1 E.V. stop. I did bring back most of the sky from one of the original exposures to try and fix some of the banding issues, but obviously I didn’t manage to fix everything.
