Today I went to the Dubai Autodrome to try and get some shots of the amateur drivers that race around the track almost every night. For a fee, you get to take your own car around the track and drive as fast as you want, but not before taking lessons from professional drivers that will ride with you in the car giving you tips on how to be a better driver.
With the Dubai roads being so dangerous (11 people have died in one week on just one highway – Sheikh Zayed Road), this is a good thing, since it takes some of the fast drivers off the road and puts them into a controlled environment on the track.
Since the air was the usual Dubai summer crappy quality (shades of grey…), the photos of the cars on the track turned out a bit bland, but here is an HDR shot of the track viewed through the fence.
