Yet again I fell behind with the blog updates as I’ve been very busy over the last week or so. The good thing is that I have plenty of blogging material for the next few months and with the upcoming workshop in Iceland in July, a trip to Jordan early next month and a few days spent in Greenland before Iceland I should have plenty more travel images to blog.
Now to today’s image. I’ve spent the afternoon yesterday walking around the older parts of Dubai (Deira and Bur Dubai), playing around with a Nikon D4s which Nikon Middle East was kind enough to allow me to use for a few days. As you can imagine, it’s a beast of a machine and as soon as I get a bit more time for writing I will put some thoughts down about what I thought of the camera. When I planned to go try the D4s, I wanted to try it in a few dark situations (as I knew the camera’s high ISO performance is incredible), but as I was walking around Deira, I came across this location which I’ve never used before. I didn’t even have a tripod with me so I had to steady the camera against a wall, but in the end I got a couple of shots from here which I really like.
On another note, last week I launched my new portfolio website with lots of new and larger images and even a new section – “lifestyle”. To see it click here.
