As the Muslim holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, Muslims from around the world are preparing for Eid Al Fitr, the celebrations that mark the end of the fasting month. In the UAE (and most other countries from around this region) people also tend to travel quite a bit during this time as there are at least 2 days of public holidays.
A few years ago, this is exactly what I did, boarding a short flight to Shiraz, in the South of Iran. I’ve posted quite a few images from Shiraz at the time (including one very similar to the one below), but since the design of the blog allows me now to easily post portrait oriented images I wanted to post this shot of a mosque reflecting in a pool of water and wish all of you who are celebrating Eid, Eid Mubarak!
On another note, I will be away for a few days in Sardinia so posts over the next days will be rare (if any at all). Of course, as usual, upon my return I should have some fresh images from a place I haven’t visited before!
