Fighting for attention
Camels are some of those animals that just make you laugh. I’m not sure if it’s the way they walk or the way they look or maybe just those big smoker’s teeth they show off every time they eat something. Whatever it is they’re funny!
I always wanted to take a close-up picture of a camel with my wide-angle lens because I always thought it would look cool. So this weekend, I got close to a camel farm near Al Ain and started shooting. What I didn’t realise was that ALL the camels would actually come and check me out fighting for a bit of attention from my camera. You can see them all behind looking at me and waiting for their time in front of the lens. 🙂
On a totally different matter, the winners of the Canon Go Green competition were announced last week and I was happy to be one of them. I really liked the shot that won the 1st prize as I thought it really captured Dubai. As for my prize, I won a Canon 580Ex II flash which is a great piece of kit. Although I’m shooting Nikon I can still use it off camera linked with a transmitter. Of course if any of you would like to buy it from me I would be more than happy to hear what you have to offer so I can buy a Nikon SB900 strobe instead.
