We have just docked back in Ushuaia after a crossing that was a bit more eventful than on the way there. We finally had clouds and wind so we got to experience some of the boat movements that can take place in the Drake Passage. Luckily I had no issues with sea sickness and I even managed to get out on the deck and take a few video clips of the boat bouncing around (which I might post in the next few weeks).
The thing that strikes you most in Antarctica is the quality of light, particularly when there are clouds around. We were out a couple of times on deck around 10-11pm and the light between the mountains was simply gorgeous.
The image below was taken the first evening when we reached Antarctica and it was almost like getting a preview of what was to come.
