As most small business owners like myself will know, running an independent business is not easy at the best of times. Even more so in the current times, when payments get delayed, budgets evaporate and customers dry up. I’ve been lucky enough over the past couple of months to still be able to license some images so my income has not completely disappeared, but obviously the anxiety level is pretty high right now. Many local businesses were not so lucky and some are struggling for survival in these difficult times.
I have been trying to think of a way I could help with the knowledge I have and it occurred to me that usually the small, independently owned restaurants which are struggling the most, usually cannot afford to pay to have their spaces photographed. So I have decided to volunteer some of my time and offer a free photoshoot for each independent restaurant (by independent I mean not being part of one of the large franchising businesses). Each shoot will result in two free images – a hero shot and some sort of detail depending on the space. Send me an email at [email protected] if you are interested in this.
I will need everybody’s help in sharing this so it gets to as many restaurant owners in the UAE as you know.
