Hyenas in action
As I promised in a post earlier this week, this is a shot taken only about 5 minutes after the earlier one. The whole sequence started with a lone hyena heading for a heard of wildbeests, but looking like it will ignore them. All of a sudden as it got close to the heard, more hyenas showed up behind the wildbeests and all hell broke loose. They were obviously trying to go for the baby wildbeests, but the older ones were doing a great job protecting their young and in the end the whole chase ended up with no casualties.
