A couple of months ago I posted a few shots (here and here) from the Jökulsárlón Lagoon situated in the south of Iceland and at the time I thought I didn’t have any more interesting photos from there. However, looking over my Iceland set I noticed this shot which had some blogging potential.
The post-processing was a bit longer than usual. I first tone-mapped the image with Photomatix Pro and then used a few selective curves to adjust the contrast of the ice and of the sky above. I then duplicated the image layer, used a blur filter and selectively masked it to reveal only certain parts of the image.
On an unrelated note, the Facebook group “I love Dubai” has featured 50 of my Dubai photos and they are getting quite a few comments at the moment. It’s a good set to see a lot of my Dubai photos in one place.
