I haven’t posted an HDR (or tone-mapped) image in a while and one of my biggest fans has been asking for one for a while. 🙂
I didn’t shoot many bracketed images while I was in Portugal, but in this particular day the clouds were very heavy and the buildings were looking quite old, just perfect for tone-mapping to bring out all that extra detail. I’m not quite sure of the name of this particular arch, but I do know that it’s the main entrance to the Praça do Comércio, Lisbon’s most important square.
It was not an easy structure to frame and I’m not 100% happy with it (I should have moved a meter or so to the right), but I think overall it’s looking ok. As always I would love to hear what you think.
