As I am sitting in Istanbul with Ethan waiting for our final flight home after being one and a half months on the road, I cannot help feel a bit sad to leave the European summer behind. I don’t think I have ever spent so much time exploring forests and rivers like in this trip. We must have swam in at least 3-4 different rivers. We started in Helsinki and then made our way down through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and then some final days in Romania. Everywhere we went there was some beautiful little path leading to an even better landscape.
I have yet to download any of the images I made during this trip, but I really wanted to share one of the last photographs I made a couple of days ago while exploring a forest along the Romanian side of the Danube together with Ethan. It just felt like the perfect last shot to describe our entire trip.
