While going through some of my recent Dubai images I came across a shot which I really liked at the time, but for some reason never posted on the blog. It was taken at the beginning of this year while shooting a beautiful apartment in the Palm Jumeirah area. This was the view from the balcony and I was lucky with an interesting morning from a light point of view – fairly clear, but also with some mist covering the lower parts of the city. For those of you who don’t know Dubai, in the foreground you can see the “fronds” of the Palm Jumeirah and its villas, then the famous Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotels, while in the foreground, you can clearly see the Burj Khalifa and the many new buildings that have popped up in Dubai over the last 10 years or so.
On a different note, I am flying to Reykjavik on Saturday to run my travel photography adventure starting on the 4th of July, but before then I’ll be traveling to Greenland for a few days so expect the next post to have some snow or ice in it.
