First of all I just wanted to say a big thank you to everybody that turned up at Slidefest V! It was a very interesting evening and it’s always nice to get some feedback on the images.
After we finished with the presentations, we had drinks at the Vista Bar in Knowledge Village and I got to talk quite a lot with Gerald (of 45 gigapixels fame) about architectural photography and locations in Dubai. That in turn made me think about some of my own architectural shots and I remembered the one below which I haven’t posted until now. It was taken from the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa, looking up towards the sky. The post-processing is very simple with just a couple of curves, but what I really like about this photograph is the way the lines of the building converge to form interesting shapes.
