Lower Manhattan
One of the places I really enjoyed in New York was the Dumbo area just across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan. It gives you a great view of the lower Manhattan while feeling a lot more quiet and peaceful. Not only there’s a great view, but housed in a 1926 building you can also find one of the best ice creams in New York at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. It’s well-worth the trip just for that!
We weren’t very lucky with the weather when we were there, but the heavy clouds moving fast above the tall buildings did provide an impressive backdrop for this already awesome view.
The post-processing was really straight forward on this one with a couple of curves to adjust the contrast and then a fairly simple conversion to black and white.
