If you’ve been following my Dubai to Romania trip on Instagram or on the travel blog, you would have probably seen that in my last day in Armenia, while driving up Mount Aragats, I got caught by snow as soon as I hit 3000m. It was an awesome surprise, particularly because it was the first snow of the season and as I got to Lake Kari (which is where the tarmac ends) I saw one of the peaks without any snow. It was getting dark and the weather was pretty miserable so I went inside the guesthouse I was staying in to warm up.
Before I went to bed, I decided to have another look outside and to my surprise, all the clouds had cleared up and the fresh snow on the mountain was beautifully lit by a full moon (this was a day or two after the supermoon). I got my tripod and did a few long exposure photographs including this panorama which turned out to be one of my favourite photographs of the entire trip.
