Over the next couple of months I am traveling to a few cities around the region (Muscat, Istanbul, Cairo and Beirut) shooting an interesting assignment for Ericsson, photographing cool cityscapes and some of their people within these cities.
Today I’ve spent the day wandering the streets of Muscat and in particular focusing on the Muttrah Corniche area. If you live in the region and you haven’t been to Muscat I would highly recommend it as it’s a great place to relax for a few days. The pace of life here always seems to be slower and even just a day of walking around the beautiful Muttrah Souq will relax you.
As for this particular image, although it was shot with the 24mm tilt-shift lens and a level camera, these houses are not quite straight. They are of various heights and somehow, not really aligned with each other. I’m not sure if this is because they are quite old and deformed in some places or just because they were not built very straight in the first place.
