One of the Dubai’s most popular parks has been going a dramatic transformation for a couple of years with the new Dubai Canal cutting through more than half of the park’s surface. The construction of the Dubai Canal is in full swing and most of the park is now closed until the adjacent roads are completed.
Yesterday I took a walk on the new bridge that will cross the Dubai Canal and came across this scene of the old Ferris wheel in Safa Park with a couple of workers getting the new road finished. In a way, it’s really sad to see this part of town changing so dramatically, but I guess, living in a city like Dubai, I’ve learned that everything keeps changing.
