On a pedestal
Over the last couple of weeks I have been looking a lot for fresh angles around the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) and although the weather has been less than perfect for photography, I did manage to find a few interesting locations to be used on better days, as well as managing to capture a few cool images.
One of them you can see here on the left. I’ve taken quite a few photographs of the Emirates Towers before (just use the search box at the top and put in “Emirates Towers”), but I never captured the two towers from this particular angle. It’s a really nice vantage point as the towers really look like they were built on a pedestal, high above anything else. Also, from this side, there are no major buildings in the background, which means you can admire them in their full glory, without any distractions.
