A couple of months ago when I was in Tanzania visiting the Ngorongoro Crater, I got the chance to experience a few really cool things. One of those things was to watch these two Cheetahs, casually going past our safari vehicle looking for some unsuspecting prey.
They are magnificent animals, truly built for speed. They are by far the fastest land animal reaching speeds of around 110 to 120 km/h for short distances. They can go from 0 to 100km/h in about three seconds (not even a lot of cars can do that)! They are the only feline that does not have retractable paws, which means they cannot grip, which in turns means they cannot climb vertical trees.
