This week: Threatening clouds approaching Khassab in the Musandam Peninsula
Since the entire Arabian Peninsula has been under torrential rains for the past couple of weeks, I thought it was only fitting for the photo of the week to be yet again dedicated to these storms (the sun is shining now, so I promise I’ll go out and shoot some clear skies next!). The storm you see in this photograph was closing in last week on Khassab, the capital of the small Omani province of Musandam at the Hormuz Straight. The bay you see here provides good shelter during stormy times for the many oil tankers passing through, delivering the Middle Eastern oil to the rest of the world.
