One thing I found really cool in Lebanon was that when you walk through the streets of Beirut you’ll come across a mosque and then right after it a church. It makes for a fresh perspective among all the usual this religion vs. that religion discussions. Even more so in a country with such a difficult past.
In the image below, to the left you can see the Mohammed al-Amin Mosque (of which I posted a shot before) and to it’s right the St. George Maronite Cathedral. It’s a shame I couldn’t get more of the bottom of the buildings as there was a lot of construction around, but I hope it demonstrates what I said at the beginning of this post.
