Room with a view
One of the things I’ve been wanting to buy for a while now is a rooftop tent and about a month ago I finally did it in preparation for my long road trip to Europe and back this summer. The cool thing about rooftop tents is that you can get them ready in much less time than traditional tents and coupled with a good off-road car, you can pretty much camp wherever your heart desires. And then there’s the view from an elevated point!
To test it out, we spent 6 days last week traveling through Oman, visiting some places I’ve known for years and discovering some gorgeous new spots. The image above was taken during the first night of camping in a spot somewhere between Al Ashkhara and Shana and in my eyes it shows the best things about camping – a beautiful night sky and a warm camp fire.
