I finally got a bit of time to take out my little Fuji XT1 out for a walk along the beach in a little town called Carcavelos, very close to Lisbon. The guys at Fuji in Dubai were very kind to lend me one for a couple of months and I bought a couple of adapters for the Lee filters I already own. As I’m sure you know from all the rave reviews this year, it’s a great camera, very good for traveling.
I’m not ready to give up my trusty Nikon D800 any time soon for my commercial jobs, but for those trips when I don’t want to break my back carrying around 20kg of gear, this little machine is perfect.
As for the location, this particular fort was built in the 16th century and it was expanded for the next two centuries as it was very strategically placed at the entrance of the Tagus River.
