A few weeks ago, I posted a shot of the Emirates Towers taken from almost the same place as this one, only more centered under the DIFC gate. There’s not much more I can tell you about this location that I haven’t said in my previous post, except that I took this shot from right next to the glass wall of the DIFC gate trying to have one half of the image normal and one half reflected.
The processing was a bit complicated as I had quite a bit of halos in the sky because of the huge difference in contrast between the sky and the inside of the gate. I tonned-mapped two separate images, one more dramatic for the glass and one more natural for the sky. I then blended these in Photoshop and also brought back in parts of the sky from the -1E.V. exposure. If you are interested in seeing the original metered exposure, do let me know in the comments.
