Shade
Today when I wanted to post this photograph, I realized that exactly a year ago I posted another photograph from Khatwa. As I said then, Khatwa is this tiny little oasis village close to Al Ain, but on the Omani side of the border. Although while I was there a couple of years ago I had my mobile and some money stolen from my car, it’s still one of my all time favourite places in this region, purely because it’s so lush. Even when visiting in the middle of the summer the temperature is great under the shade and the place is so quiet, you can hear the locals talking at the other end of the oasis.
