Lately I have been only posting images with short descriptions, without giving you lots more information about the places shown in these images and I guess this is mostly because of the lack of time to write. Well, you will be happy (or sad…) to know that I am in the process of writing a longer post about Masirah Island, which I will post in the next couple of days. Why Masirah? Because it’s one of those places that not a lot of people have been to in the Middle East and I think it’s interesting enough to spend a few days there if you like wild landscapes.
As for this shot, it’s a shelter on one of the beaches in Masirah, that’s used by the locals when waiting for the boats to come back from the sea. I’m not quite sure what happened with this shot (the middle area is very sharp and the edges are slightly out of focus), but it almost looks like a shot taken with one of those Lensbabies that David is giving away in a competition. No matter what happened, I quite like the effect… What do you think?
