There’s probably no other location more touristic than this to take photographs in Dubai. It just provides that picture perfect framing of the Burj Al Arab between the “old” new buildings of Souk Madinat and there are constant streams of tourists taking this exact same shot. For those of you not from around here, Souk Madinat is a complex of hotels and shops that’s designed to feel like an old Arabic town.
I did not have a lot of time yesterday to take photos, but as soon as I saw those interesting clouds on the horizon, I decided to go out and shoot for at least 30 minutes. The closest location close to where I live was Souk Madinat and although it’s a bit too touristy for my taste, I thought I might as well take this shot and see what I can do with it. In the end I was quite happy with the result and I probably have one or two other “bloggable” shots from the same place.
