Like I mentioned in my previous post late in 2019 I was on a very exciting assignment in South Sudan for the Carter Center documenting their efforts to eradicate the Guinea Worm Disease. The travel was the most remote I have ever done and often involved driving through deep mud or hiking to remote villages. The most spectacular hike was to a village called Achamungole situated on top of a beautiful plateau that felt away from pretty much everything in the world. I have quite a lot of images from there, but I thought I will post this first – a photograph made about half way up looking back over the beautiful valleys below.
