The teachers for the Gulf Photo Plus 2010 event are here in Dubai and yesterday I went out shooting for a few hours in the afternoon with David Nightingale and Robin Nichols. It’s always great to shoot with photographers that have so much experience because you’re constantly learning something new in a fun way. As those of you living in Dubai know, we’ve had quite a nasty sand storm in the last couple of days so yesterday wasn’t the best the day for shooting outside. However, we did get a lot more interesting shots than we thought it was possible so I’m quite happy about it.
I shot this photo from the outer rock wall of the Palm Jumeirah with an ND400 filter which gave me quite a nice and long exposure of about 30″. This made the water look still and it allowed for some of the detail from the submerged rocks to show up.
